[AutoDaily] Frank Ahrens who moved up to the first global public relations chief among the foreigners in working at the head office of Hyundai resigned of his own free will. It has been just for year to promote. According to Hyundai on 9 December, Frank Ahrens submitted his resignation from private reasons.
He graduated from West Virginia University, worked in the Washington Post as journalist for 18 years, and then joint into Hyundai Motors. He took a role in global public relations part and spokesperson. He had lived apart from his family since worked in Seoul head office.
He is the first foreign person who promoted chief in headquarters. Hyundai said that the successor to him is not decided yet.
Now, there are few executives in the head office of Hyundai in Yangjea-Dong. One of them is Peter Schreyer appointed as Chief Design Office last January.
