Renault Captur will expect 15,000 units to be available in Korea

[AutoDaily] Renault-Samsung QM3(Renault Captur) will be supplied maximum 15,000 units on domestic market.
 
December 6, Renault-Samsung vice president Ali Kasai said “we planned to sell 5,000 units on Korean market next year, but we decided to reflex a great local popularity such as preliminary contract, so the sales quantities of QM3 can be bigger like 15,000 units” at QM3 media showcase
 
Ali Kasai was involved in Captur project. And he is the man who carries weight with amount of Captur country-by-country. As he mentioned, Renault-Samsung will be able to secure more than 10,000 units.
 
He said “Among the CUV segment such as Nissan Juke or Mini Countryman, Captur is the best in European market.
But all of market has been in short supply.
 
Through adjusting Valladolid Spain factory’s UPH (Unit per Hour), Renault group will increase an output of Captur 160 thousand to 180 thousand.
 
QM3 proved how Korean consumer exited to release itself as 1,000 units which can sell this year sold out just in 7 minutes on the 20th of last month. From stop to contract on, official contract number is 5,600.
 
Followed only 1,000 units limited sales this December, QM3 is going to start to release and sell next March. Some salesperson worries that potential customers might be change their mind not to buy it. However the number of pre-contract requester is overwhelmingly bigger than secession customers.
 
Renault-Samsung Domestic Operations Office vice president, Park Dong-Hun, proudly said “we will escape from depression in domestic market with launching QM3. Renault Samsung is not the bottom company.” Since last September when the Park was scouted as vice president, Renault-Samsung’s sales has increased year-on-year for three consecutive months.
