[AutoDaily] The end of this month, Hyundai motor is launching LF Sonata which is best-selling model changed all over part.The Hyundai will have presentation on February 27 at Namyang laboratory in Gyeonggi-do, Hwaseong. This presentation will invite automobile editors, and then they will open rendering image and material of LF Sonata.
This event is same as making public rendering Image of new Genesis last November launching a week before.
The Hyundai will start to pre-marketing in 27 when LF Sonata rendering open. On March 3 is slated to mass product LF Sonata in Asan factory. They will accept preliminary contact since then. The middle past of month, they will have design presentation of LF Sonata applied to fluidic sculpture 2.0.
They will start to sell it on March 17 after new model presentation.
The LF Sonata changed all over part five years after previous model. This car is applied intermediate form in North America and Europe fluidic sculpture 2.0 which is upgrade than former fluidic sculpture.
Because of it, LF Sonata has flat body compare former model which has anfractuous body. Center fascia changed diamond shaped like Genesis’s one from Y shaped.
The LF Sonata is made of new program – basic body frame, designing – and the company focus on reinforcement in lower body like Genesis.
The engine lineup is 2.0CVVL gasoline engine, 2.4 seta engine, and LPi together, and combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The size of LF sonata is slightly bigger than former model and the power train is upgraded.
The company does not consider diesel version of LF Sonata for the meantime because i40 has diesel one.
The Hyundai expects to sell 110 thousand units including LF Sonata. The YF Sonata was sold 89,400 units. It was a decrease of 14% compared with the previous year.
