Hyundai and Kia do to recover in Europe?

[AutoDaily] Hyundai and Kia's sales in the European market(EU and EFTA) aren't looking that bright, even though their sales for the month of September  were up 3.28 percent, 77,740 vehicles sold. It wasn't in negative growth but couldn't reach the overall market growth of 5.47 percent.
 
If you look at their growth in detail, Hyundai motors sold 42,698 vehicles, a 6.38 percent increase compared to last year at the same time. Kia for the same period of time had a 100 vehicle decrease over last year. Sales were at 35,042 vehicles this September.
 
The car market in Europe is slowing down, except for the U.K. and some other areas. Most of European region like Germany and France are in recession, so sales market isn't strong.
 
Hyundai and Kia motors that are based in Germany and France, which are the main markets for their car sales and fleet market sales. So it's very natural that they are having a difficult time selling vehicles in the European market. There are also more reason than that, such as 'price policy' in the European market and 'Brand Marketing Strategy' at sporting and other events is low.
 
Executive director Song Ho-seong who was in the Business Growth Division over at Hyundai is now the president of the European Division for Kia. He has experience working in Export Strategy Headquarters in the European market so Kia hopes that this solution will help them manage well in this European situation.
 
Hyundai motors started making the new i10 at the end of September and is being manufactured at their factory in Turkey. Vice-president Jeong Ui-seon at Hyundai has high expectations for the i10 and visited the factory in Turkey to look at its production process. The new i10 was first introduced at the Frankfurt Auto Show in Germany this year.

■ increase in sales for low-cost brands: Volkswagen SKODA and SEAT, Renault DACIA
 
■ increase in sales for high-cost brands: Daimler Mercedes Benz, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover and Toyota Lexus.
