Hyundai Motor is receiving orders for 2015 model year Grandeurs from this week.

On 29th May, at the 2014 Busan Motor Show, the diesel version of Grandeur was first introduced to the public, and will be available for R2.2 E-VGT diesel engine with 6-speed auto transmission, delivering maximum 202 ps and 45.0kg·m of torque. The combined fuel economy stands at 14.0km per liter.

Grandeur diesel was originally planned to receive pre-orders since 2nd June, but some internal troubles in production and quality inspection have retarded its introduction.

At local market two trims, modern or premium, will be available. The tag prices will be ranged from 32.5 to 35 million won, and the final decision will not deviate more than 50 thousand won.

Specifications are told to be similar with those for gasoline models. The existing 2.4 liter gasoline modern trim is equipped with 17-inch wheels and duel muffler, LED stop lamp, LED rear combination lamps, 9 airbag system, VDC(Vehicle Dynamic Control), TPMS(Tire Pressure Monitoring System), VSM(Vehicle Stability Management), ESS(Emergency Stop Signal), Rear Impact Seat System, MDPS(Motor Driving Power Steering), ASD(Amplitude Selective Damper), etc.

The Grandeur diesel to be mounted with R2.2 E-VGT engine will be the first Hyundai clean diesel engine meeting the EURO 6 emission standards.
