Jung Mong-gu president of Hyundai visited the Europe

[AutoDaily] The president of Hyundai, Jung Mong-gu visited the European market which has been going through a difficult time selling cars due to the recession.
 
On 21st October, Jung Mong-gu visited the Hyundai factories based in Russia and Czech Republic. He also visited the Slovakia plant manufacturing Kia cars. During his visits, he checked all the quality standards in the manufacturing process of the vehicles they are making in those factories.
 
After the factory checks, he is off to the European headquarters based in Frankfurt, Germany and will receive business reports while checking their sales strategy.
 
Hyundai and Kia motors said, his business trip is emphasizing the importance of selling cars in the European market where they were at the heart of the Global Economic Crisis.
 
He mentioned "overseas countries are an important business for us these days," in the meeting that was held in July this year. So he wants to check local conditions for selling cars and will be planning to make strategies for the times with low profits.
 
It has been 19 months since the last time he visited the European market back in March 2012.
 
Hyundai and Kia motors sold 586,452 vehicles until September in the European market, which is a 0.75 percent decline compared to last year at the same time.
