[AutoDaily] On 9th September, the Hyundai union has reached a tentative deal on wages and working conditions by a 55.13% majority vote on the Hyundai motors suggest proposals.

Out of the 46,465 Hyundai union workers, 42,346 (91.14%) voted on the proposals. With the all the votes counted 23,344 union workers agreed with the proposals.

This year the Hyundai union has approved the deal which includes:
- Base salaries increased 97,000-won(a wage increase of 5.14%)
- bonuses worth 3 1/2 months of wages plus 5 million won in cash
- gets points from two shift agreement for weekdays.
- other bonus incentives totaling almost 9 million won.

On 10 September, Hyundai motors and the union came together in the Ulsan plant.

This year a deal concluded the equivalent to an average of 28,790,000-won extra per person. This is an increase over last years strike of 27,280,000-won per person.

Some people expected the deal to be voted down. Because the tentative deals didn't include all of the demands wanted by the labor union.

Some demands that the union asked for were rejected, like 10 million-won for each worker whose children don't attend college, raising the retirement age to 61, payed holiday leave for a month, union activity privileges, progressive taxation in severance pay and consideration on overseas plant decisions.

While the unions were on the strike, Hyundai motor's lost 50,191vehicles and 1.225 trillion-won which was less than from last years strike (82,000 vehicles, 1.6 trillion won)

But the Hyundai company advantageously concluded a deal with the union and in the first round of votes the proposal passed and a deal was made. Possibly an election for next union's executive was also affecting to the conclusion of the vote.

Kia motors union is still on strike but will soon reach a tentative deal with the company before Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) comes since Hyundai's strike is now over.
